In my dream I am in a magical place, quite unlike anywhere else I have ever been before.

I see a small town, welcome mats on doorsteps, and I hear friendly chatter along the streets. I walk towards the harbour where fishermen empty their catches of freshly caught fish and lobster. Later, from a small blue boat a little offshore, I marvel at nature as I watch whales, puffins and dolphins. From the boat I look back to land seeing multi-colored houses from a bygone era, and white church steeples outlined against a summer sky. In a park the music from an open air band is spellbinding and I slowly drift into sleep.

I hear a voice gently calling my name and as my awareness returns I realize that I am still in my Pilates session. This is not a dream. I am here now. This is Pilates in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia!
